 19/02/2010 Last Sunday saw Hampshire Motocross Club hold the second championship round at the very wintery hillside circuit of Swanmore. Olly was on fire and cleaned up with 3 race wins on the day. Paul continues his comeback with three solid performances. The next meeting is Round 1 of the United Motocross Championships (UMX) back at Swanmore on the 7th March. | 09/02/2010 The first round of the motocross season was hosted by Hampshire Motocross Club held at Foxholes near Salisbury. A good solid start to the season for both riders in the cold and muddy conditions. Next week is round 2 of the HMX series at Swanmore near Droxford. | 03/02/2010 The 2010 motocross season kicks off this weekend with the first round of the Hampshire Motocross Championships at Foxholes. Both riders are ready for the new season but injury has already struck Olly who broke his wrist during a winter training session 5 weeks ago. The plaster is off and Olly hopes to be able to ride and be competitive at the first round. Paul is back to full fitness after last years set backs and is ready for a full season of racing. |
| 01/12/2009 The last round of the Hampshire MX series at West Meon was cancelled due to the great British weather so the championship standings are now finalised and the 2009 season comes to an end. RSR would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the team throughout 2009 and we all look forward to a successful 2010 season. Both riders are taking a well earned rest before the winter training starts in January. With the first round expected in February it won't be long till we are back racing again. Best wishes to all for the festive season. |
| 30/10/2009 A wet race at Foxholes last weekend saw Olly take his opportunity to clinch the Hampshire Main Championship title so three out of three titles this season for the RSR Team. Paul didn't ride as is still having problems with his wrist after the surgery earlier in the year. The final championship race of the season is back at West Meon on the 15th November. | 12/10/2009 The final round of the UMX Championships was run at Owslebury last weekend where Olly won the Junior title. The track was in perfect condition and both RSR riders put in strong performances with Olly taking joint third overall on the day and Paul continuing his comeback with a solid top ten finish. As the season draws to a close there is just the Hampshire Main Championship to be decided. Olly has already claimed the Open 2Stroke Championship and is currently leading the Main with 2 rounds to go. Check out rider news for the latest reports from both riders. |
| 09/10/2009 Round 11 of the Hampshire Motocross Championships was held at the hillside circuit of Swanmore last weekend but unfortunately the meeting was cancelled due to the dust. The shootout races were run with Olly taking another win in the 2-Stroke Open Class to close out the championship and take the title. Paul continues his come back and is now focused on completing the final rounds of the season and a full assault in 2010. This weekend sees the Winchester Club play host to the final round of the UMX Series at the fabulous Owslebury track where Olly hopes to take the Junior title. | 28/09/2009 West Meon hosted the penultimate round of the UMX series and saw Paul return to racing after a 3 month break. The weather was perfect but this meant a very dry and dusty track for the riders to contend with. Olly continued his consistent form to take the overall on the day and Paul had 3 solid rides getting back into the swing of things. | 21 /09/2009 After a fabulous BYMX 2day meeting at the awesome Foxhills where Olly rode the adult support, the season continued with Round 10 of the Hampshire Championships at the compact circuit of Binstead nr Alton. Olly was flying the RSR colours while Paul was bedside waiting for wife Lorraine to give birth to no.4 Dunford. The track was well prepared and super fast as usual and Olly had a mixed day. The penultimate round of the UMX series is at West Meon this coming weekend. Check out rider news for the latest reports. Latest news is that Poppy Elizabeth Dunford has now arrived into the world and both mum and baby are doing well so congratulations and best wishes go out to Paul and Lorraine. |
| 08/09/2009 Round 9 of the Hampshire Motocross Championships last weekend saw a return to the popular Whitings Water circuit in Shaftesbury. The track was in superb condition and the weather held giving an excellent days racing. Paul is still out injured and Olly continued his good form taking 3rd overall in the main championship races to further extend his championship lead. The next race meeting is a 2 day motocross this weekend at Foxhills. |
| 12/08/2009 Crawley & District MCC played host to round 5 of the UMX championships on 2nd August at the fast flowing Ringmer circuit in East Sussex. With Paul still out injured Olly was again flying solo. Despite the heavy rain on the Saturday the track was perfect for Sunday's racing. Olly continued his consistent season taking 3rd overall in the Junior championships increasing his hold on the title chase. Check out the rider news pages the latest reports. The Hampshire Motocross Club season continues on the 6th September at the fabulous Whitings Water circuit where we hope to see Paul make a return to racing. |
| 21/07/2009 Last weekend saw the spectacular Cusses Gorse track play host to a round of the BYMX championships where Olly rode in the Adult Support class. Paul is still recouperating after his wrist surgery. Olly qualified well on the Saturday morning setting the third fastest time in his class but the weekend was then spoiled in the first race with a nasty crash leaving him knocked out at the side of the track. See the rider news pages for a full report from Olly. The next race meeting is Round 5 of the UMX series on th 2nd August at Ringmer where we hope to see Paul back on the bike. |
| 29/06/2009 Round 4 of the United Motocross Championships was held at the stunning Asham Woods circuit near Frome last Sunday. Paul did not race the meeting as has recently had surgery on his wrist in an attempt to fix the ongoing injury he sustained at Matterley last year. The surgery went well but he now needs some time off to recouperate. Olly defended his championship lead in style taking second overall at the demanding track with a win, a third and second place. | 17/06/2009 A return to Foxholes last weekend for Round8 of the Hampshire championships and a scorching hot day with a brick hard track saw both riders have their share of misfortune. For Olly a huge high side on the slick track in practise damaged the bike but the team managed to get him back out there to race and still take a good result considering the crash. For Paul the new Suzuki was flying until his bad luck continued with a broken front brake. Latest reports are on the rider news pages. |
| 19/05/2009 The excellent Whitings Water was the venue for Round7 of the Hampshire Motocross Championships. The heavy rain in the morning only improved the superbly prepared track. Olly stormed to another overall victory and now leads the championship chase. Paul sufferred further mechanical gremlins with a broken clutch but still salvaged 10th overall on the day. | 12/05/2009 The RSR Team were invited to test ride a new phenomenon in dirt bike racing recently, at the UK launch of the the all new Zero X Electric Motocross bike. Olly and Paul had several rides on the new light weight electric racers and were both very impressed with performance. Check out the team news page for further details. |
| 12/05/2009 Round 3 of the UMX series was at Winterpick Farm last weekend near Crawley. A perfect weekend for racing on an well prepared track saw Olly storm to another overall victory with 2 wins and a 3rd place. A change of machinery for Paul who has now switched to the RM250 2stroke. A first ride out on the new bike and he showed some great pace despite having some teething problems. Next weekend is Round 7 of the Hampshire series at the popular Whitings Water. | 28/04/2009 The season is in full swing now and Olly continues with his good form taking a clean sweep of wins at Round 6 of the Hampshire series at Swanmore last weekend giving him his 1st overall win at the club. Paul's bad luck continued with a broken clutch plate resulting in a slipping clutch and poor starts. He still soldiered on a came away from the meeting with a top 10 finish. | 14/04/2009 Back to Foxholes for round 2 of the United Motocross Championships last weekend. The weather was perfect and the track well prepared. Olly showed great pace and took 1st overall in the highly competitive junior championships. Paulwas unlucky with bike issues with a badly deformed rear tyre costing time. | 14/04/2009 Round 5 of the Hampshire Championships was at Binstead on Easter Sunday and the track was in perfect condition. The day saw mixed fortunes for Olly and Paul. Olly continued with his good form and claimed 2nd overall on the day whereas Paul had a stone crack a casing in the Qualifier. | 14/04/2009 The Owslebury meeting was a complete washout. Both riders qualified for the main and Paul had an excellent first MX1 moto running in 2nd for most of the race pushing the leader. He finished 5th on a very demanding track. After this first moto the team decided to call it a day and save the bikes, gear and riders for the Hampshire meeting at Binstead. |

| 30/03/2009 Round 3 of the Hampshire Motocross Championships finally ran yesterday at West Meon with another perfect day for racing however mixed fortunes for Paul and Olly. Olly was on form on the new Suzuki and scored another solid result. Paul had some bike setup issues and a nasty crash in the 2-stroke open race which he was lucky to get up from but still brought it home for a good result in the main. | 23/03/2009 Round 3 of the Hampshire Motocross Championships scheduled for the 15th was postponed due to a water logged track. This left a clear weekend and Paul used the time to race the South Hants meeting at Binstead where he finished 3rd overall on the day. Olly went for a practise session at Popham and focused on endurance training putting in a number of 35minute sessions. This coming weekend and the Hampshire Club racing continues at West Meon. |

| 16/02/2009 The 2009 season finally kicked off yesterday at the hillside circuit of Swanmore. A perfect day for motocross and a new track layout gave some excellent racing. Both Paul and Olly had a great meeting with a good solid start to the season. The next meeting is at West Meon next weekend and then back to Swanmore for the first round of the UMX series. | 20/11/2008 A good dry day for the final round of the Hampshire Motocross Club championships saw some exciting racing to close out the season. Paul was flying in the 250 race to consolidate his 4th place in the championship and Olly took the win in the veterans race to claim the title. Olly also rode out the A-Finals to claim his second Hampshire Clubman Title. Congratulations to both riders and a big thanks to all our sponsors during the 2008 season.
